Halloween Weekend

We had a great Halloween! Ryan's parents came into town to visit, and we had a wonderful time with them. Jack especially enjoyed spending time with them! Jack surprised us on Halloween night with his determination and stamina. We thought we would just take him around one or two small streets but he ended up going all around the neighborhood. He loved saying "trick or treat" and he insisted on carrying his own pumpkin despite the fact that it was getting quite heavy! He held onto the kitkat bar that is in his hands in the pictures the whole night. I finally asked him if he wanted to eat it, and he said "yes" and he enjoyed every bit of it!

Costume Parade

Today Jack's school had a costume parade. All the students came to school dressed in their costumes and then walked down the hallways and around outside collecting treats a long the way. It was so cute to see all of his classmates all dressed up! Jack had so much fun wearing his cowboy costume! As we were driving to school, we were talking about the parade and Jack kept telling me his was going to play the drums. I'm not sure where he came up with that idea, but it made me laugh! Happy Halloween!

A Visit to Daddy's Office

Today was such a fun day! Jack and I picked up lunch and had lunch with Ryan at his office. Jack loved riding on the elevators, spinning on chairs in the big board room and getting candy from the office ladies. It was so special to spend some time with Ryan and for Jack to see where daddy goes when he goes to work. So fun!

Visit to Memphis!

Jack and I were able to go to Memphis this last weekend to visit my good friend of 28 years, Amie and her family! We visited last fall and had such a blast that we decided to do it again! We had such a wonderful time....Amie was such an incredible host and her family was so sweet and so kind to us. Jack loved playing with Ella, Ethan and Faith. Adam, Amie's husband, watched all of the kids Saturday morning so that Amie and I could have a morning at the spa and do some shopping. So sweet!

Ryan's Birthday

We had a great time celebrating Ryan's birthday in early October! It was fun that it was on a Saturday and that we got to spend the day together as a family. In the evening, we did Ryan's favorite thing....chicken friend steak, football and Texas Hot Chocolate cake (Thanks to Joanne for making it since Ryan does not think I make it quite right! ;). We celebrated with our good friends, Marc & AC. Marc's birthday is just a few days before Ryan's. Jack loved helping them blow out the birthday candles!

September Indy Visit

Jack and I went to Indiana at the end of September to see family and celebrate my grandpa's 90th Birthday! We had such a great time, and it was such a beautiful time of year to visit Indiana. I do not think I had been there in September since my first year at Baylor...12 years ago!

Here is a picture of me with my Grandpa at the party. (sorry it is so small...I scanned it in on my computer) It was such a great celebration! My aunt and my cousin's husband worked hard on putting together a slide show of pictures set to music that they played at the party....pictures from when my Grandpa was a baby all the way to pictures of his great-grandchildren. It was awesome (and we all got a copy of it!)! He is an amazing man who has raised an amazing family and has served his country proud!

Jack had so much fun with Grandma & Grandpa Indiana...he especially loved playing with the trains and the peg board with Grandma and going on a ride around the golf course with Grandpa. Grandpa gave him a golf ball that he carries around everywhere!

I was able to get together with my good friends, Christina, Jenni and Jann. It was so much fun catching up at the Cheesecake Factory!!!!
