Growing Tomatoes

This past weekend we decided to plant some tomatoes, cilantro and parsley in a pot on our patio. Jack loves to eat tomatoes (amazing, huh?) and I hear they do great in this climate, so we thought it would be a great first veggie for our family to grow!

We had a great visit to Indiana! Jack and I spent a long weekend there while Ryan was away turkey hunting. We had a 6 hour delay at the Houston airport on our way there but we finally made it! Jack was such a good boy throughout the long wait at the airport. It was fun spending time with my parents, sisters, brother in laws and nieces and nephews. Jack loves playing with his cousins! Yesterday morning when he woke in his bed back at home he immediately asked for Grandma and Grandpa. It was so sweet! He really enjoyed his time with them.

March Ranch Weekend

We had a great weekend at the Ranch. It is so much fun now that Jack can walk around and explore. All weekend he just wanted to be outside. He had a great time with his Grandma & Grandpa M and enjoyed all of the rides that they took him on! Enjoy the photos!

Jack loves his Daddy!

Jack loves his daddy so much! He had so much fun playing with him yesterday. He is not awake yet this morning, but I know that when he does, he is going to be so sad to find that daddy is at work. Sometimes he runs to the front door and cries "dada, dada" when he wants him. It is so precious!

Florida Part II

Jack and I had a fabulous time in Florida! He had so much fun with his cousin David, Grandma, Aunt Juliann and Great Grandpa. David and Jack are only 4 days apart, and it was so neat to watch them interact and play. At first, Jack was frightened of the ocean and did not like the feeling of the sand on his hands and feet (he kept calling the sand "yuckee" and wanted me to brush it off), but by the end of the week he started to enjoy his time by the ocean. I am so glad we took advantage of this second get-a-way to Florida!

I just had to share this video of Jack! His friend, Blakely, is turning one, and he loves carrying around her birthday invitation. He gives it hugs and kisses and says, "Blakely!" It is so cute and so precious!

Florida Get-a-way!

My sister Lisa and I met up in Florida for a weekend away without the kids! We had a great time and caught up on some much needed rest and relaxation. The weather was so-so as you can see in the picture (we are a bit bundled up); but that did not stop us from enjoying some shopping, a movie, dinners out, reading, sleeping in and some nice walks and runs. My mom is there for the month of February, so we also were able to enjoy some time with her and with my Grandpa. A special thanks goes out to Ryan and his mom for taking such great care of my little Jack. I really appreciated the refreshing weekend! In fact, I found a great airline deal and Jack and I will be going back to Florida next week! Crazy and spontaneous, but I figure I need to take advantage of this flexible time we now have before he starts school, he can fly for free still and who knows where we might be living this time next year!
